The Origins in the Candy Cane


The candy cane 's been around for years and years, a single form or some other. Many people consider it the next Christmas treat or tree decoration. They have not necessarily been doing this. The candy cane have a fairly intriguing history behind it.


It's thought that the first candy cane appeared in 1670 by the choirmaster on the Cologne Cathedral in Germany. He gave every one of the younger people in the choir a white candy stick in order to you can keep them quiet during the Living Crèche ceremony (Living Nativity Ceremony). These folks were not only ordinary candy sticks though.
